BIO
In the hub of the universe, Boston Mass, DAve Crespo is a local icon on stage and on internet radio. With his band of all-star players that he dug up from underneath the most rawking rocks in New England, DAve Crespo’s After Party pushes the volume up to 11 and the show way past 12 midnight.
The band has been behind Crespo since 2007 with various different players in it’s 4 years. As all-star musicians come in and out of the musical hub that Boston is, Spo is forced with the happy challenge of finding a great new line up and he never fails to do so.
In 2009, Spo’s After Party released their first disc entitled, "DCAP." This release helped them to open for national bands like Marcy Playground. On DCAP's first disc Spo speaks much about Boston, it’s atmosphere and local music scene. On the threshold of a new record to come out in 2011 the new songs are a departure from the city life that Spo’s lyrics wandered towards before. With the new After Party’s release fans and listeners should expect a songs about Spo’s life outside his star studded city.
DAve Crespo has been playing in bands in Massachusetts since 1999 when he started out fronting and playing lead guitar for Ravin Klaim. After local attention surmounted around Ravin Klaim through The Boston Globe and Fox News, Crespo dismantled the band to go in a different direction with his music.
Crespo then spent his next four years of college writing the tunes that would end up filling out the After Party's first record. This record was recorded in 2008 and released in 2009 with the original After Party line up Cary Wells, Nick Stein and Tony Colella. Within this time he also started putting together shows as a concert promoter in Boston as well as playing bass in a band called, The Black Tie Affair with front man, John Paul.
In 2010, The After Party played out in support of the record released in the previous year with a line up of Cary Wells, Jon Sencabaugh and Ashley Rhodes. This band never recorded any material but opened up for bands like Mission Hill, Three Legged Fox and Hello Ninja. Within this time Crespo continued booking handfuls of shows in Boston for F Nice Records, started to DJ on UNregular Radio and joined a band with former Cars On Mars guitarist, Anthony Fariole to create atlantic/electric.
The After Party's current line up consists of Sam Damask on bass, Nicole D'Amico on backing vocals and Marcus James on the drums. This After Party line up has been rocking together since October of 2010. The band has a few releases and plenty of great shows in store for you… keep tuned party hoppers!
